Admission of foreign students to additional educational programme Russian as a Foreign Language
If you do not speak Russian, St. Petersburg University of Film and Television offers you a pre-university additional educational programme Russian as a Foreign Language. The programme is 10 months long. It starts on 1 September. In 2024-2025 academic year, the tuition fee is 220 000 rubles for the programme.
To join the programme, foreign citizens should request and receive an invitation from the University. The International Education Department issues the documents for the invitation in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation.
The application period for the 2025-2026 academic year starts on 1 April 2025.
How to Apply for the Programme
STEP 1
Submit the following documents:
1. completed and signed Application Form;
2. scan of passport;
3. scan of documents confirming a completed educational level (school leaving certificate with grades, diploma and supplement, etc.)
Send the set of the documents by e-mail at omo@gikit.ru or send the requested documentation to someone in St. Petersburg you trust who would bring them to the International Education Department of the University in person.
STEP 2
Sign a bilateral agreement with the University for the provision of training services for the programme Russian as a Foreign Language;
STEP 3
Pay the tuition fee.
Two ways of payment:
- on the website of the University
- with bank details
STEP 4
Having received an invitation from the University, get a visa to the Russian Federation.
STEP 5
Upon arrival at the University to study at the program Russian as a Foreign Language, the citizens of foreign countries should:
- submit a medical certificates (international standard form), including X-ray screening results and vaccinations, with a notarised translation into Russian.
- have the legalised (if necessary) originals of documents on education.
