The degree works of the graduates of part-time documentary department were screened on three distinguished areas: the XXVIth International Documentary Film Festival of Eastern European cinema in Cottbus (Germany), Russian Open Documentary Film Festival “Artdocfest” and the St. Petersburg State University of Culture.

Polina Volynkina was awarded by The Venice Film Festival

"Paradise", film by Andrei Konchalovsky, in which crew our graduate Polina Volynkina worked as a sound producer, claims for the "Oscar". The film has won two awards of the 73rd Venice Film Festival : Silver Lion for Best Director and a special award Soundtrack Stars Award for the soundtrack

“French St.Petersburg and Russian Paris”

July 12, the premiere of the film "French Petersburg" took place, it is the joint work of students of creative specialties of St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television and the International Film School of Paris EICAR. The film combined wonderful stories of the French emigrants in St. Petersburg, such as the coordinator of French events, the French teacher and a bar owner.

The contest for students and postgraduates, which winners will participate in the International Congress of Broadcasters IBC 2015 in Amsterdam, took place as a part of a major scientific event. Panasonic, one of the sponsors of the contest, presented the University the latest generation 3D camera.

The International Finnish project of 2015 is completed

The premiere of the documentary short film "Repin. Life on the border” took place in the Museum “Estate of I.Ye.Repin “Penates” within the framework of The Night of Museums. This film is the result of joint work of students of creative specialties of St.Petersburg State University of Film and Television and students of The Faculty of Media of The University of Applied Sciences of Karelia (Joensuu, Finland), participated in the international project of student and teacher exchange, which is the fourth year successfully connects the film crew of Russian and Finnish students.

Kazuhiro Tsuga, The President of Panasonic Corporation, visited St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television in the First-ever Visit to Russia

The delegation of the Japanese Panasonic Corporation, headed by President Kazuhiro Tsuga visited St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television. The guests met with the rector of the University professor Alexander Evmenov and discussed the prospects of participation of Panasonic technology in creative, scientific and research projects of the University.

The University signed an agreement with the The Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS)

Alexey Sergeev, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council and Alexander Evmenov, Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television agreed to cooperate and signed the agreement.

Spanish horror movie: the crisis of the genre or the loss of identity?

St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television invited one of Spain's leading film and music critic Eduardo Guillot to speak to the students. Workshop called "Modern Spanish horror" and was dedicated to the establishment of this important genre of cinema in Spain.

Young scientists participated in the International Congress of Broadcasters IBC-2014

Representatives of the University attended one of the world biggest forums dedicated to the problems of digital television and digital cinema in Amsterdam. According to the results of the University delegation participation, executive producer of conference IBC-2014 Professor David Crawford sent letter of thanks to the rector, professor Alexander D. Evmenov.

Association of Educational Institutions for Art and Culture

The Association of Educational Institutions of Art and Culture, which includes SPbGIKiT, won a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the project "Second Higher Education as a Factor in Increasing the Level of Training of Specialists in Creative Professions"
